Full-time legal secretary/receptionist needed at our La Plata law office. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to enter the legal field, someone looking to expand his or her existing office experience, or someone looking to transition his or her legal office experience to our thriving small general practice firm.
We are seeking a reliable, personable individual with a friendly, professional phone manner, helpful demeanor, and strong typing skills. Must know Word. Experience with preparing legal filings and other paperwork, especially involving family law or personal injury claims a plus. Knowledge of QuickBooks and dictation machines helpful, but not necessary.
Tasks include scheduling appointments, client and other correspondence, document preparation and filing, assisting clients and other visitors/callers, processing client payments, maintaining office supplies, and running errands. Ability and willingness to take on new tasks as needed.
Dependability and confidentiality a must.
Hours: 9:15-5:15, some flexibilty as required.
Own transportation needed.
