Memorial Day is celebrated on the last Monday of the month of May in the United States. Memorial Day is for remembering the service men and women of our country who have died while serving in the armed forces.
Memorial Day was first known as 'Decoration Day.' The name changed to Memorial Day first in the year 1882. It was not until June 28, 1968 that Congress passed the Uniform Monday Holiday Act, which moved four holidays from their traditional dates to a specific Monday in the calendar year.
We at Fanning Law, LLC honor and remember the selfless men and women of our armed forces on this day. For those who gave their all, we can never repay this debt, but thank you for your selflessness.
